Our company, Chorhala Adharkrushi Seva Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located at the home of Ramdas Laxman Lokhande. We are in Chorhala, which is part of the Bhokardan area in the Aurangabad region. It’s a small village setup where everyone knows everyone else. We mostly focus on helping the farmers around here get the supplies they need and sell what they grow. The land here is good for things like ginger or maize, depending on the year. We aren't a big city business; we are just people from the local community. Usually, you’ll find a few of us sitting around drinking tea and talking about the rain or the price of seeds. It’s a simple operation because that’s what works for us. We started this because we saw that individual farmers were struggling to get good prices. By coming together in Chorhala, we have a bit more weight. We don't use fancy words or have a big mission statement on the wall. Our goal is just to get through each season and hope for a good harvest. Sometimes the logistics of moving trucks through the narrow roads can be a headache, but we figure it out. We’ve lived here all our lives, so we care about what happens to the land and the people on it. It’s about being practical and looking out for each other in this corner of Jalna and Aurangabad.
