We started Borranjani Farmer Producer Company Limited right here at Udhav Asaram Jadhav’s place in Borranjani. It is a quiet spot in Ghansawangi where most people spend their days out in the fields. Farming isn’t easy around here but we decided it would be better if we handled things as a group instead of everyone just doing their own thing. There is always a lot to do, from figuring out seeds to moving what we grow to the market. Sometimes the weather doesn't help us much, but having this group makes it feel a bit more manageable. We mostly hang out near the house to talk about the crops and what needs to happen next. It's just a bunch of local folks trying to make sense of the work. You can find us at the address in 431204. Nobody here is wearing a suit or sitting in a fancy office. We usually have dirt on our boots and some worries about the rain, or the lack of it. It’s a practical way to run things. We don't have a big staff, just the people who live and work right in this village. If you come by, you’ll likely see us just sitting around Udhav’s yard discussing the harvest. It’s a slow process building something like this, but we are taking it one day at a time. This company belongs to the farmers here. We just want to get through the season and hope the prices stay fair for everyone involved.
