Ashti Vibhag Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated in Wardhapur, near Pole Number B-7 in the Ashti region of Wardha. We are at Jayant Shriram Nimbhorkar’s place. The 442202 area is where we all live and work. We are a farmer producer company, which really just means we are a bunch of neighbors who decided to pool our resources. Ashti is a place with a lot of history in farming, and we are trying to keep that going. Our office isn't much to look at, just a functional space where we handle the logistics. We spend a lot of time on the roads around Wardha, checking on things and making sure everyone has what they need for the season. It’s a lot of practical work, not much for sitting around and talking big. We deal with the realities of the weather and the markets every single day. Sometimes it feels like we are just fighting the elements, but we have each other to lean on. Most of the people involved have been farming since they were young. We know the cycles of the year and what to expect, even when things get tough or the rain doesn't come. We just wanted a way to make sure our village stays strong and that the work we do out in the fields actually pays off in the end. It's a group effort through and through.
