The Temptations

We are tucked away in the Jaipur Compound over in Jhotwara. It is more of an industrial and busy commercial area than a quiet neighborhood, so there is always noise from machines or trucks moving around outside. Being in this part of Jaipur means we deal with a lot of working people who are just trying to get through their shift. Our space is not huge and it definitely does not look like a palace. It has got concrete floors and we keep our supplies stacked where we can reach them easily. We spend our days making things that people enjoy, whether they are stopping in for a quick break or taking something back to their office. The 302001 area code covers a lot of ground, but Jhotwara has its own specific feel. It is a bit gritty and very busy. We do not have a big sign with flashing lights or anything like that. Most people find us because they work nearby or they have heard about us from a friend. We try to keep the workspace organized, but when things get busy, there might be flour or sugar on the floor for a bit until we can sweep. It is a real place run by real people who get tired and frustrated just like everyone else. We just keep showing up every morning and opening the doors because that is what we do. It is a living and we are glad to be here.
