Asthan

We spend most of our days here at Asthan, tucked away inside the Hotel Clarks Amer. It is right on Jln Marg, which gets quite noisy during rush hour, but inside it is mostly quiet. We have been here for a while now. The team consists of a few people who have lived in Jaipur their whole lives and some who moved here for work. We usually start the morning by checking the supplies and making sure everything looks right for whoever walks through the door. The building itself is older, but it has that solid feel to it. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up when it gets really hot outside in the summer, but we manage. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a place where people can come when they are staying at the hotel or passing through. Our desks are often covered in papers and coffee mugs. We know the security guards at the gate and the folks working the front desk pretty well by now. It is a predictable routine, honestly. We show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. There is nothing too complicated about it. The address is 302018, right in the heart of things. We just try to keep things running smoothly without making too much of a fuss. If you are around Jln Marg, you probably know where we are located. We just keep our heads down and work.
