Ashiana Restaurant

We are located inside Hotel Sweet Dream, which is right in the Film Colony area of Nehru Bazar. Jaipur is a busy place, but Nehru Bazar is something else entirely. There are always people moving about, looking at shops and carrying bags. Being in the 302021 area, we get a mix of hotel guests and people just wandering in from the street. The restaurant is part of the hotel building, so it has a certain feel to it that is different from a standalone shop. It’s not a huge place, but there is enough room for people to sit comfortably away from the noise of the bazaar outside. We spend a lot of time just keeping the place running. The furniture is a bit older, the kind of stuff that has been around since the hotel opened. We don't try to be anything we aren't. There are no fancy tablecloths or expensive candles. Just plates, forks, and food. The Film Colony name sounds more exciting than it actually is these days, but it’s a good landmark for people trying to find us. Sometimes you can hear the sounds of the market through the walls, the shouting of vendors and the motorbikes. It’s just us here, making sure the kitchen is ready for the lunch rush. We’ve seen a lot of people come and go from this hotel over the years. It is a busy life but we are used to it.
