The Masala Haat

The Masala Haat sits right on the corner of Ram Path, over in Sodala. If you know where the Reliance Fresh is on New Sanganer Road, we’re basically right across from there. Jaipur gets incredibly hot, especially in the afternoons, so this place is usually where people drop in to get out of the sun for a bit. We’ve been at F-5 A for a while now. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always noise from the traffic and people shouting outside. Inside, it’s a bit different. We focus on the food and not much else. The tables are sturdy, and we try to keep the place clean. My brother and I handle most of the daily stuff, from talking to the vegetable vendors to making sure the kitchen is ready. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. People mostly find us because they live in the neighborhood or they’re doing their shopping nearby. The menu is simple stuff that we like to eat ourselves. Nothing too fancy or experimental. Just good, honest cooking that fills you up. Sometimes the service is a little slow when it gets packed during the dinner rush, but we do what we can. It’s a local spot for local people. If you’re around New Sanganer Road and need a meal, you’ll see us there on the corner. We don't have a website or anything, just this physical shop here in Sodala.
