Shriram Agro Industries

Shriram Agro Industries is based at A-129-G on Road No 9 C in Gandhi Nagar. Since this is an industrial zone, there is always the humming sound of machines and trucks passing by. We do a lot of work involving agricultural products. Depending on what is being processed that day, the air might smell like grain or dry soil. We spend most of our time in the back shed where the actual work happens. It is definitely not a quiet environment. We often have to shout to hear each other over the noise of the equipment. The office is just a small room at the front with two desks and a lot of stacked files. We have stayed at this location for many years now. While Gandhi Nagar has changed quite a bit, Road No 9 C remains much the same. We work with many local farmers and suppliers. They bring their loads in and we take care of the rest. It is physical work and the hours can be long during the harvest season. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. There is just the main gate and the processing area. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which takes up the whole afternoon. We aren't doing anything fancy, just keeping the daily cycle going. If you visit us at A-129-G, we will probably be in our work clothes and a bit covered in dust. It is just the way it goes.
