M L Grah Udyog India is located over at Hawa Sarak, S-23. We are not some big corporate factory with shiny machines and uniforms. It is more of a small-scale operation where we do things with our own hands. The term Grah Udyog means it is a home industry, and that is exactly how we treat it. We have been in this specific spot on Hawa Sarak for quite some time. The road outside is always loud with the sound of trucks and cars heading toward the flyover, but once you step inside, it is all about the work we are doing. We make traditional food items and household goods that people used to make at home in the old days. Our workspace is usually filled with the aroma of spices being ground or snacks being prepared in the back. We have a group of local women who come in to help us with the sorting and the manual packaging. It is a very practical and humble way to work. We do not have an office with a fancy desk or air conditioning to keep us cool. We just use our wooden tables and the storage space for the items that are ready to go out to the customers. Many people from the nearby colonies just walk in to buy things directly because they know the stuff is fresh. We use very simple tools and rely on old-fashioned methods. It is hard and sweaty work, especially when the Jaipur summer is at its peak, but we keep the business running. (259 words)
