Sheesh Mahal Bar

We’ve been here at the Sheraton Rajputana for a long time now. It’s right on Palace Road, which is always pretty busy because of the railway station just a short walk away. People coming off the long-distance trains often find their way here to sit down for a bit. Inside the hotel, we call it Sheesh Mahal Bar. We try to keep things running smoothly for anyone who walks through the door, whether they are staying in the rooms or just coming in from Station Road. It’s become a bit of a local landmark in this part of Jaipur. Most of our mornings are spent checking the bottles and making sure the chairs are all lined up right for the evening crowd. It gets quite lively when the tourists and the locals start arriving after sunset. Being inside a big hotel means we see a lot of different faces every single day. Some are just passing through the city for a night, while others live right around the corner and come in every week. We aren't doing anything too fancy or complicated here, just keeping the bar open and the drinks cold for whoever needs them. The walk from the station isn't long at all, maybe just a few minutes if you head towards Palace Road. You’ll see the hotel building easily. It’s a solid, quiet spot for a drink or a long chat with your friends. We don't change much around here because we like the way things are.
