Sharad Gems

Sharad Gems is found at House Number 76 in Jhalaniyo Ka Rasta, right in the middle of Kishan Pol Bazar. This part of the city is very old and the streets are so narrow that you can barely fit a bike through some of them. Our shop is small and it’s filled with packets of different gemstones. We’ve been in this same spot for generations. It’s a family business through and through. We don't have any flashy signs or big display windows. If you want to find us, you have to ask around the bazaar or look for the number 76 on the door. Inside, it’s quite simple. We have some mats on the floor where we sit to look at the stones under the light. The bazaar outside is always noisy with the sounds of people, temple bells, and street food vendors. It’s a very lively place to work. We don't use any modern marketing techniques to get customers. People come to us because they know our family and they know we’ve been here forever. Sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming with the crowds and the heat, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We spend our days sorting through rough stones and talking to other traders who stop by for a cup of tea. It’s a slow and steady kind of life. We just focus on the gems and the people we deal with every day.
