Sai Krapa Daba

You can find us near the ITC on Station Road in Jaipur. The station road is always a bit dusty and loud because of all the trains and travelers coming through the 302006 area. Our daba is a simple spot where we do all the cooking right there. It is not a big place but it serves the purpose for people getting off the trains or working nearby. We start the day by getting the stove going and making sure we have enough supplies for the day. The traffic on the road can be a lot sometimes, especially during the rush hours. We are right there on the main stretch so it’s easy to spot us if you are walking from the station. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint but we are more focused on the kitchen work. It is a typical Jaipur spot with a lot of movement outside. We don’t have fancy menus or anything like that. People just come in, eat, and go about their business. Sometimes it gets a bit smoky inside when the wind blows the wrong way, but that is just how a daba works. We’ve been at this location for a while and the ITC building is a good landmark for people who are new to the area. It is just a practical place for a quick meal before heading back to the station. Most of our regulars are just folks passing through.
