Ratan Textiles

Ratan Textiles is located at Papriwal Cottage on Ajmer Road. It isn’t your typical factory building. The place has a bit of a history to it, and you can feel that when you walk in. We handle a lot of fabric here, as you might guess from the name. There are rolls of cloth stacked up in different rooms. It can get a bit disorganized during the busy season, but we usually know where everything is. The staff has been with us for a long time, so we all know how the day goes. We start early, usually before the traffic on Ajmer Road gets too loud. It’s a lot of manual work, checking prints and making sure the colors look right. We don’t use those high-tech automated systems for everything. A lot of it is done by hand and by eye. It’s a bit slower that way, but it’s how we’ve always done it at Papriwal Cottage. The light in the afternoons is really bright, so we sometimes have to pull the curtains to see what we are doing. We don’t have a big sign outside that flashes neon lights. It’s just a quiet spot where we do our business. If you visit, you might find us having lunch together in the back. It’s a family-like environment, even if we aren't all related. We just focus on the textiles and try to get the orders out on time.
