Manwar Restaurant

Manwar Restaurant is tucked inside the Hotel Golden Manor over on Shiv Marg. If you're looking for us, we’re right there in Bani Park, not too far from the Collectorate Circle. Jaipur can get incredibly crowded, especially around the circle, but once you get into the side streets like ours, things settle down a tiny bit. We’ve been operating out of this spot for some time now. The restaurant isn't huge, but it fits enough people who are staying at the hotel or just passing through the neighborhood. We mostly deal with locals who know the area well and travelers who found us while looking for a place to eat near the station. The walls have a few scuffs, and the furniture has seen some use over the years, but it’s comfortable enough. We spend most of our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure the tables are set. You can usually hear the staff talking in the back about their families or the cricket scores while they work. It’s a pretty standard routine every day. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that; it’s just us. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles when it’s forty degrees outside, but we make it work. It's just a regular place in a busy part of town where you can sit down for a bit and escape the Jaipur sun. We do not try to be anything we aren't.
