Kesar Kanha Garden Restaurant

Our place is located on Step by Step School Road in the Chitrakoot Scheme. Being so close to the school and the Chitrakoot stadium means we see a lot of activity around here. In the afternoons, you can hear the kids playing and the traffic picking up as parents come to collect them. We have a garden area where people can sit, and it takes a lot of work to keep the plants alive in the Jaipur heat. We spend a good part of our morning watering the grass and sweeping the dust off the tables. It’s an outdoor setup, so we are always at the mercy of the weather. If it rains, we have to move things quickly, and if it's too hot, we turn on the big fans. We aren't a fancy indoor place with white tablecloths. We’re more about having enough space for families to sit down and eat something together. The kitchen staff stays busy prepping vegetables and getting the ovens hot before the evening crowd arrives. Sometimes the stadium has an event, and then the whole street gets blocked with cars, which makes things a bit hectic for us. We just handle it as it comes. We’ve been in this part of Jaipur for a bit now, and we’re just a regular part of the neighborhood where people come when they don't feel like cooking at home. It’s a lot of work, but it keeps us going.
