J. C. Home - Tex is out in the Sitapura Industrial Area. We have a spot at G-164-B, not too far from Tonk Road. It gets very hot out here during the summer months. The shed is big and we keep all the textiles stored there. We spend our days checking the quality of the fabric and making sure the machines are running okay. It’s an industrial area, so it’s mostly just factories and trucks. We don't get many visitors unless it's a delivery or someone picking up a big order. We started with just a few looms and now we have more, but it’s still a lot of manual work. The dust from the cotton gets everywhere. We wear old clothes because there’s no point in trying to stay clean in a place like this. We handle a lot of home textile stuff like curtains and bed covers. Sometimes the colors don't come out exactly right and we have to start over. It’s just the way it goes. We have a small office area where we keep the books. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. We just make the stuff and sell it to the people who ask for it. It's a loud environment with the machines humming all the time. But it's our work and we’re here every day. It's simple work.
