Carpet & Textile Mahal (India) Pvt. Ltd. is located right near the Zorawar Singh Gate on Amber Road. It is a busy area and the noise from the street usually drifts inside throughout the day. We have been working out of this spot for quite a while now. The building is filled with carpets of all sizes and various textiles stacked up in piles. Mostly we just spend our time sorting through the stock and making sure things are where they should be. It is a lot of heavy lifting and moving rugs around to show people the different patterns. The air always has a bit of a wool smell to it which you get used to after a few days. We don’t have any big fancy speeches about what we do here. It is just a local business where we handle a lot of cloth and woven goods. When the sun comes through the front, you can see all the dust floating around, but that is just part of the job. Our staff is mostly just local folks who know the area well. We drink a lot of tea and try to stay on top of the orders that come in. The gate outside is a good landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. It isn’t a very polished place, but it works for what we need. We just keep things moving and try to get the work done.
