Badrinarain Moduram Natha

If you ever walk through Chandpole Bazar, you know how crowded and loud it gets. Our place is at 2335, Khazane Walon Ka Rasta, at the third cross. It is a very old part of Jaipur, and the lanes are so narrow that sometimes you can barely fit a bike through. Badrinarain Moduram Natha is a name that has been in our family for generations. We have been in this same spot for a very long time. The walls are thick and the ceilings are high, which helps keep it a bit cooler during the summer months. We deal with traditional items, mostly things people have been using here for years. It is a lot of sitting on the floor and going through stock. We don’t have a fancy display window. You just walk in and see what we have piled up. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us since they were kids. We know their families and they know ours. It is not a fast-paced business with modern tech. We still use old ledgers for some of our accounts because it is just easier that way. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back. It is a simple way of living and working. We are just part of the market, like everyone else on this street. We don’t need much more than that to keep going.
