Arjun Handicrafts

You can find us at Shop Number 206 in the middle of Johari Bazar. It is a very crowded place to work, especially since we are right near Aggersen Market where there is always something going on. The street is narrow and full of people, bikes, and the occasional cart trying to squeeze through. Inside the shop, it is a bit calmer but we have things stacked from the floor to the ceiling. Arjun Handicrafts has been in this spot for quite a while now and we have seen a lot of changes in the bazar. We spend our mornings unpacking new stock and trying to find places to put it so it doesn't fall over. It is a lot of lifting and moving boxes around. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking noise but we have gotten used to it over the years. We mostly just talk to the people who wander in and show them what we have on the shelves. There is no air conditioning, so we keep the front open to get a bit of a breeze, even if it brings in the dust from the street. Our neighbors at the other shops are all friendly and we usually share some snacks in the afternoon when things slow down for a bit. It is a busy, messy, honest way to spend the day and we like being part of the market. There is usually someone here from early morning until late evening.
