Punjabi Pind Dhaba

Punjabi Pind Dhaba is located inside the Samdareeya Mall in Jabalpur City. We are officially C/O Hotel Grand Samdareeya. The address is Marhataal, Civic Centre, Jabalpur, 482002. Being in a mall and a hotel at the same time is interesting. We get people who are staying at the hotel and also people who are just out shopping. Marhataal is a very central part of Jabalpur. It’s always crowded with people and traffic. Our place has a dhaba feel even though it’s in a modern building. We have simple wooden furniture and some basic decorations on the walls. The kitchen is where we spend most of our time. It’s a hot and busy area. We have a few regular staff members who have been with us for years. We all know what to do without talking much. The floors in the mall are shiny but we have to sweep our area constantly because of the foot traffic. We don't have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just come to work and do our jobs. The Civic Centre area is very lively, especially in the evenings. Sometimes we take a break and walk around the mall just to see what’s new. It’s a busy life running a dhaba in a city like Jabalpur. We just keep the stove hot and the water cold for whoever walks through the door.
