Aura

Aura is tucked inside the Anantara Residential Resort in the Tilhari area of Jabalpur. We are out on Mandla Road, quite close to the Sports Club of Jabalpur. Being part of a resort means we see a lot of the same faces, which is nice. It’s a bit quieter out here compared to the city center, which we actually prefer. We spend our days getting things ready for the residents and anyone coming by from the club nearby. The kitchen is where most of our time goes. We don't have a huge staff, just a few local people who know how to handle the daily routine. Sometimes the monkeys from the trees around Tilhari get a bit curious, but that's just part of being in this part of town. We just focus on putting out decent plates of food without making a big fuss about it. The building is easy to find once you get into the resort grounds. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years as more people move towards Mandla Road. It’s a steady pace of life here. We don't really bother with fancy menus or complicated names for our dishes. People usually just ask what’s fresh today. It feels more like a community kitchen than a big commercial operation. We keep the place tidy and wait for the dinner rush to start around sunset. There isn't much more to it than that, just a regular place in a quiet spot.
