Zoutaang Organic Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are set up in Hermon Veng, which is over in Churachandpur. Chingngaihchiin is the main contact person here, and the office is right there at her place. We call ourselves an organic producer company because we really try to avoid all those harsh chemicals they sell in the shops these days. It’s much better for the soil and for the people eating the food. Most of us here have been farming this way for a long time, but now we’ve made it official by forming this company. Churachandpur has some great land for growing, especially up in the higher spots around Hermon Veng. It can be a bit of a trek to get things down to the market, but we manage. The organic part is a bit more work because you have to watch the plants closer, but we think it’s worth the extra effort. We aren't some big brand you'll see on TV. We’re just a group of neighbors who wanted to do something together. Sometimes we have meetings to talk about the compost or which seeds are working best this year. It’s all very informal, really. If you want to know more about how we grow things, you can just come by and see for yourself. We’re usually around most days unless it’s a big harvest day and everyone is out in the fields. We don't have much to offer besides some good vegetables and a bit of conversation.
