Unique Engineers

You can find us at 22, Dr. K. D. Bhattacharya Lane in Serampore. It is a bit of a tight street, so parking can be a real headache sometimes. We have been here at Unique Engineers for quite some time now. The building is old, like much of Serampore, but it serves us well. We do a lot of technical work, mostly fixing things or putting parts together. There are tools everywhere, and the smell of oil is pretty much part of the furniture. We are not the type to have a clean, polished office. Our desks are covered in sketches and metal bits. It is a bit messy, but we know where everything is. Usually, it is just the sound of clinking metal and someone calling out for a wrench. We work on whatever comes through the door. Some jobs are easy, others take all day and make us scratch our heads. We do not talk much about innovation; we just focus on getting the machinery to work right. If you come by, you will probably find us hunched over a workbench. We like the work, even if it is greasy. It is a local shop, and we have been part of this district for years. Our hands are usually stained with grease, and we don't mind. The lane here is narrow, so we often hear the neighbors talking as they pass by. It feels like a real community. We just keep our heads down.
