G. Engineering Works

We are G. Engineering Works, and you can find our shop on Howrah Amta Road. We are specifically located in the Bankra area, right near the Indo-Japanese Gate. It is a landmark that most people living in Howrah know very well. Our workshop is a real engineering spot where we handle all sorts of metalwork, repairs, and fabrication. It’s a gritty, hardworking environment inside. There’s no air conditioning or fancy chairs to sit on here. We have our machines, our welding gear, and our tools, and that’s about all we need. The road outside is always busy with heavy trucks and rickshaws, so there is constantly a lot of noise and dust coming in. We’ve been operating in Bankra for a good while now. We take on small jobs from local businesses and some larger ones from further away too. It is all about getting the precision right, even if the shop looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. We try to keep things moving as fast as we can, but some jobs just take a bit of time to do properly. We aren't a huge corporation with a board of directors; we are just a group of guys who know how to work with steel and iron. People know us because we’ve been at this specific location for years. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. We just wait for the work to come and then we get it done.
