Maa Durga Engineering Industry

Our workshop is located in Birshibpur, near the Boyalia Road in Uluberia. It’s an engineering place, so you can expect a lot of noise and the smell of metal being cut or welded. We’ve been operating near the police station area for a while now. The building is basically a large shed with a concrete floor that’s seen a lot of use. We have lathes and welding machines that we use every day to make parts or fix things for local businesses. It’s not a clean environment by any means. There are metal shavings on the floor and grease on almost every surface. We wear old clothes because they’re just going to get ruined anyway. Most of our day is spent measuring things or grinding down edges. Sometimes it rains hard and the sound on the metal roof is so loud we can’t even hear ourselves talk. We don’t have a marketing team or a fancy office. If you need something made, you just come to the gate and talk to one of us. We have a small desk in the corner for keeping the books, but mostly we are out on the floor. It’s hard, physical work and our hands are always stained with oil. We just keep the machines running and get the orders finished as they come in from the surrounding Uluberia area.
