Tata Projects Limited (Epc Div.)

If you find yourself on Ram Mohan Mukherjee Lane in Shibpur, you’ll find us at number 14/1. We’re tucked away in a spot that’s managed by Mr. Sidheswar Banerjee, and it’s got a very lived-in, neighborhood feel to it. This is the Epc Division for Tata Projects, but you wouldn’t know it from the outside. It feels more like a home that’s been turned into a workplace, which actually makes it quite comfortable. The lanes in Howrah are notoriously narrow and busy, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of an adventure. Once we are inside, it’s all about the engineering tasks and keeping the project files in order. We have a lot of tea and talk through the problems we are facing on various jobs. It’s a busy atmosphere with people coming and going all the time. The 711 1102 postcode area is quite old and has a lot of character, which we enjoy. We don’t really bother with fancy furniture or anything like that. We just need a desk, a chair, and a working computer to get through the day. Sometimes the neighbor’s kids are playing outside or someone is selling vegetables on the street, and that’s just part of the daily background noise. It’s an unpretentious place where we focus on the practical side of our work. We just do what we can to keep everything on schedule from this small Howrah office.
