Our place is situated in Serampore, over in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. We are specifically located in Kushal Apartment, Phase II, which is on J N Lahiri Road. It’s a fairly easy spot to find if you know the neighborhood well. This is the HCP office for Larsen & Toubro Limited. The building is a typical apartment structure, and we use this space to manage our daily tasks and keep things moving. Serampore has that old-town feel, and the road outside can get a bit narrow when the cycle rickshaws and cars are all trying to pass at once. We usually start the day early before the humidity gets too heavy. Most of the staff here are locals who have been around for a long time. There is a lot of talk about the weather and the local train schedules because that’s how most people get around. We have desks piled with folders and a few computers that stay busy all day. It’s not a showroom or anything, just a functional workspace for the team. Sometimes visitors get a little lost looking for the specific phase of the apartment, but once they find us, it’s all straightforward. We drink a lot of tea and try to get through the list of things to do before the evening rush starts on the main road.
