Our office is at 59/1/F on Dingsaipara Road, over in the Bally area of Howrah. It’s a bit of a narrow road, so you have to be careful if you're driving a big car through here. We’re close to the post office, which makes things easy for sending out mail. It’s a typical West Bengal neighborhood, lots of life and a bit of noise from the street. The building itself is older, but it serves us well. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most of the people working here have been with the company for a long time. We spend our days dealing with the paperwork and coordinating with the sites. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking over drawings. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office; we just want a place that’s functional. The humidity here in Howrah is no joke, so we have the fans going pretty much constantly. Sometimes we go out for a walk by the river if we have a long break. It’s a very grounded way to work. We know the local shopkeepers and they know us. If you’re looking for us, just find Dingsaipara Road and ask for the L&T office, someone will point you the right way. We take pride in just getting the work done without making a big fuss about it. It’s just how we operate in this part of the district every single day without needing much more than a desk and a good cup of tea.
