Tapan Engineering Works

We are tucked away at 30/1 Sreekisson Vakut Lane over in Kadamtala. It is a narrow lane, so if you're coming with a big vehicle, it can be a bit of a squeeze. Tapan Engineering Works is basically a small workshop where we handle all kinds of mechanical repairs and fabrication. We’ve got the lathe machines and welding gear set up in the back. It’s not a quiet place; there’s usually the sound of metal being cut or hammers hitting something. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. The neighbors are used to the noise by now. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll likely find one of us with grease on our hands. We take on whatever work comes through the door, from fixing small parts to building bigger frames. Kadamtala is a place where people know each other, so a lot of our work is just from locals stopping by. It’s a simple life. We work during the day, close up in the evening, and do it all again tomorrow. There’s no big corporate strategy here. We just like fixing things and making sure they work right. It’s a bit messy, but it’s real work that we take pride in doing every day. We don't need a fancy office to do what we do. The workshop floor is where everything happens.
