Sitala Engineering Works

Down on Ichapur Hit Road, over in the Swpari Bagan area, that's where we do our work at Sitala Engineering Works. It's an old part of town and the roads can be a bit tight, but we've made it work for years. We do a lot of metalwork and machining here. There are several lathes and drills running most of the day, so it gets quite noisy. You have to shout a bit sometimes to be heard over the machines. We handle a lot of different engineering jobs, mostly small parts that other factories need. It’s a lot of measuring and cutting and then checking it all again. The shop floor is always covered in metal shavings, even if we sweep it twice a day. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name on the door. Most of the people working here live close by, so we all know each other well. It feels more like a small group of neighbors than a big corporation. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the machines to finish a cycle. It's a steady life. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait for it to come back on, but usually, we stay busy. We take the work as it comes and try to do a decent job of it without overthinking things too much. It keeps us occupied throughout the week.
