Our business is situated at Joypur Pul, right in the Billbamundanga area. We’re right beside the 24 National Highway, so we hear the trucks going by all day and night. We handle all sorts of things here, mostly general trading and business stuff that comes through the Pc Balli area. It’s a simple setup, just a building with some storage space and a small desk where we keep the paperwork. Being on the highway means we get a lot of travelers stopping by to ask for directions or see what we have. It’s a bit of a rugged spot, especially when the weather is bad. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to run the place. We’ve learned to live with the noise of the traffic. It’s a very practical way to make a living. We don't put on any acts; we just show up and do the work. The building is older but it keeps the rain off. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to stay on top of the stock. It’s a straightforward life here by the bridge. We’re just a small enterprise trying to stay busy and helpful to the people who use the highway. Nothing more and nothing less than that. We just do our best to keep things moving along every single day.
