MAHAPRABHU ENTERPRISE

Howrah is a place where you can get lost if you don’t know the little lanes. We are at 45, Fakirdas Mondal Lane. It’s one of those narrow streets where you have to be careful with your bike or you’ll hit a wall. MAHAPRABHU ENTERPRISE is just a small place tucked away in there. We’ve been operating out of this lane for years now. It’s not like those big industrial estates with lots of room; here, every inch of the floor is used for something. We mostly deal with small parts and whatever the local market is asking for at the time. West Bengal summers are heavy and very humid, so the fans are always spinning in the workshop. The light in the lane isn't great, but we have our own lamps set up inside. It’s a family-run kind of thing, really. We know everyone on the street. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a bit while we are working on a batch. We don't have a website or anything like that, just our name on the wall and the work we do. If you need us, you just walk down the lane and look for the number 45. It’s crowded and noisy, but it’s our space. We keep the machines running as much as we can, even when the heat makes it tough to move. It’s just honest work in a very old part of Howrah, and we like it that way.
