Ruby Engineering Works

We've been here at 64/2 Benaras Road for a while now. If you're coming from the Manu Petrol Pump side, you'll find us pretty easily. It’s busy around here in Howrah, but we keep our heads down and focus on the work. Ruby Engineering Works is mostly about getting things fixed or made right the first time. The shop isn't fancy, just a place with machines and grease. My dad used to say a clean shop means no work is happening, so we usually have some scrap metal lying around. We handle the usual engineering jobs that people in this part of town need. Sometimes it's a small part that snapped, other times it's a bigger frame that needs welding. People stop by, ask if we can do something, and we tell them straight if it’s possible. No big talk, just the actual work. It gets loud here with the lathes running. Benaras Road is always noisy anyway, so we fit right in. We open up early and stay until the light goes. It's just what we do every day. Not much else to say really. If you need a piece of metal turned or something joined up, you know where the workshop is. Most neighbors know us by name now. It’s a bit dusty and the floor has some stains, but the machines are what matter. We spend most of our time at the workbench or checking measurements. It’s hard work, but we like it that way. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break, then it’s back to the noise. Just a regular Howrah shop doing what we know best.
