Our office is situated at 138 G T Road in Howrah 2, right where the heart of the activity is. Dealing with the L&T workload from this location means being part of the daily bustle of one of the busiest roads around. The office itself is pretty basic. We have the usual desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a few fans that hum along to keep the air moving. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find corporate art or sleek furniture. We prefer it that way because it feels real. The people working here have been through many seasons together, watching the rain flood the streets or the summer heat make the tarmac soft. We don't spend our time thinking about branding; we just think about the next job that needs to be finished. The neighbors are mostly other businesses and shops, so there’s a lot of coming and going all day. Sometimes we have to shout to be heard over the trucks, but that’s just life on G T Road. We take our breaks when we can and try to keep the paperwork from piling up too high. It’s honest work in a part of Howrah that never seems to sleep. We aren't flashy people, just a group trying to do a decent job in an old building that has plenty of character and a few creaky floorboards. It’s home for us now.
