Our spot is down at 16 Madhusudan Biswas Lane in Howrah. It’s a typical West Bengal neighborhood, a bit crowded and full of life. Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd has been operating from here, handling various construction and technical works. The building feels old, but it holds everything we need to keep the gears turning. Inside, you’ll find cupboards stuffed with site reports and maps of the local areas we’re working on. The humidity in Howrah can be a lot, so we mostly keep the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through the lane. It’s not a corporate skyscraper, just a regular office where we drink our tea and talk about concrete and steel. The street outside is narrow, so getting big deliveries can be a bit of a headache sometimes, but we manage. Sometimes we stay late when a big project deadline is coming up, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood settling down for the night.
