Madhurima Engineering Works

Madhurima Engineering Works is tucked away in the Khaner Bagan area of Kamardanga. It is a quiet enough spot most of the time, except for when we have the heavy machinery running in the back. We started this engineering work here because the space was the right size for the kind of tools we need to use. Kamardanga is a place where you see plenty of small shops like ours doing their own thing. We spend our days mostly working on metal parts and fixing things that people bring into the shop. The building itself is nothing special to look at, just a solid place to keep our equipment dry and safe from the weather. We do not have a big reception area or a place for people to sit and wait. Usually, you will find us in the back where the actual work happens. The floor is often covered in metal shavings, and there is that smell of oil and iron that stays on your clothes. We do not do much advertising; people just seem to find us by word of mouth or by walking past while we are working. It can get pretty hot in the summer months, but we keep the fans going and stay busy with the orders. The street outside can be a bit narrow, so parking is always a challenge if you are driving a big vehicle. We just focus on the job at hand.
