Elbe Industrial Works

Elbe Industrial Works is situated at 13 Sarat Dutta Lane. If you’ve ever been down this lane, you know it’s quite narrow and can get very congested during the day. We’ve been operating out of this same building for many years. It’s an old structure with high ceilings and thick walls that keep it somewhat cool. The ground floor is where all the heavy machinery sits. It’s loud and there’s always a bit of a vibration in the floor when the big machines are running. We don't have any fancy carpets or soft lighting. Everything here is built for utility. We spend our days covered in a bit of oil or metal dust, but that’s just how industrial work goes. We have a small desk tucked under the stairs where we keep the records and handle the billing. It’s not the most organized office, but we know where everything is. The neighbors are mostly other small workshops or families who have lived on Sarat Dutta Lane for generations. We all know each other and say hello in the mornings. We don't use any fancy management techniques. We just take the jobs as they come and try to do a solid job on every single one. It’s a traditional way of working that has served us well. We don't need a polished image to do what we do. We just focus on the machines and the metal and getting through the daily list.
