Asia Engineering Works

Asia Engineering Works is situated down on V Road in the Sanpur area of Dasnagar, Howrah. If you know the industrial belts around here, you know it’s a place where people actually make things. We have a lot of heavy machinery in the shop, and there is always a bit of dust and the smell of cut metal in the air. It’s not a place for a clean shirt, that’s for sure. We started this small engineering unit to handle local fabrication and repair work, and we’ve just kept at it ever since. The building is a bit old and the roof makes noise when it rains, but it keeps the equipment dry and gives us enough room to move the bigger pieces around. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones with a script. You usually just talk to whoever is closest to the door or whoever isn't running a lathe at that moment. We take pride in the fact that we can fix things that other places might just throw away. Howrah is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the congestion, but it is home to us. We just keep our heads down and get the machining done. It is honest work and we have been doing it the same way for years now, without needing to change much about our basic setup.
