We are set up on Nr Road in Hosur. It’s a busy area with plenty of traffic passing by all the time. We work with granite, which means our yard is always full of heavy stone. It’s a big space because we need room for the trucks to turn around. Most of the day is spent checking the quality of the slabs and moving them into the right sections. Hosur is a good place for this kind of work. We have people coming in from all over the region. We don't really do the whole corporate thing. We’re just regular people who know a lot about stone. The yard gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we take our breaks when we can. You’ll usually see a few of us standing around a slab, talking about the grain or the color. It’s not a quiet job. The sound of the cutters and the loaders is pretty constant. We keep things moving. When a customer shows up, we just walk them through the rows. There’s no pressure or polished sales pitch. We just show what we have in stock at the moment. It’s a bit messy sometimes, with stone scraps and water on the floor, but that’s how a granite yard looks. We’ve been at this for a while and don’t plan on changing how we do things. We just stay focused on the work.
