Lavanya Granites

If you head down Kalamangalam Road in Tumkur, you’ll find Lavanya Granites. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a while, dealing with all the stone and heavy lifting that comes with the granite business. It's a lot of work, honestly. The yard gets pretty dusty, especially when the sun is out and the wind picks up, but that’s just part of the job when you’re moving slabs around all day. Tumkur is a growing place, so there’s always a demand for what we do. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the warehouse and the space out front where we keep the inventory. People stop by to look at the different stones, and we talk them through what we have in stock at the moment. Sometimes we have a lot, sometimes the stock is low depending on the season and the transport. It’s a straightforward business. We wake up, open the gates, and start moving the stone. Our neighbors on Kalamangalam Road are mostly other industrial or trade shops, so we all kind of know each other. It’s not a quiet place, but it’s where the work happens. We focus on getting the slabs loaded up correctly so they don't crack. It’s heavy stuff, so you have to be careful. That’s pretty much us, just a local granite yard trying to stay busy and keep the trucks moving.
