Square Feet Tiles

Out here in Achettipalli in the Krishnagiri district, we run Square Feet Tiles. It’s a bit of a drive for some, but this is where we have the space for all our stock. We deal with tiles for all kinds of floors. The warehouse is big and can get quite cold in the mornings before the sun gets high. We spend a lot of time on our feet, walking back and forth between the rows of boxes. There is a lot to keep track of. Sometimes a customer wants something very specific and we have to dig through the back to find it. We don't have any fancy displays with lights. Most of the time, we just lean a few tiles against a wall so people can see the colors in the natural light. Krishnagiri is a good place to work, even if it feels a bit tucked away sometimes. We get a mix of people coming through, from farmers building a new house to builders working on bigger projects. We try to keep things simple. If we have it, we sell it. If we don’t, we tell you. There’s no sense in making it more complicated than that. Most of the guys working here are from the local villages around Achettipalli. We know the roads and we know the people. It’s just a steady way to make a living, handling these heavy tiles and making sure people get what they paid for.
