Upasana Engineers

We are based out of Pahalampur village, which is part of the Singur area. Our place, Upasana Engineers, isn't some massive factory you see in the city. It’s more of a local workshop where we handle mechanical and engineering jobs that come our way. People around here in Singur know where to find us. Usually, it’s quiet in the village except for the sound of some tools or a tractor passing by. We started with just a few basic machines and a lot of patience. My cousins and a couple of guys from the next village over help out when things get busy. We don’t spend much on advertising because word of mouth in a place like Pahalampur works better than any flyer. The roof leaks a little when the monsoon hits hard, so we spend a lot of time moving stuff around to keep things dry. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s ours and it works for what we need. Sometimes we sit outside on the bench when the power is off and talk about the crops or the local news. We don't pretend to be some big corporate firm. We just fix things and build what’s asked of us using what we have available. Life moves a bit slower here, and we like it that way. If you’re coming from the main road, just ask for the engineering shop in the village.
