Hicon Engineering

Hicon Engineering is situated at 82, T. N. Mukherjee Road in the Hooghly district. It’s a bit of a drive out here, but we like the space we have. We’ve been doing this engineering stuff for years now, mostly focusing on mechanical parts and fixing up machinery that other people bring in. The building is older and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the machines inside work just fine. We don't spend much time thinking about how the office looks because we are usually out on the floor getting our hands dirty. There are four or five of us here most days. We have a routine where we start early before the sun gets too hot. It’s a regular local business, nothing corporate or fancy about it. We don't have a big marketing team or a website that works all the time. If you need something, you usually just come by and talk to us. We’ve had the same customers for a long time, mostly people from around Hooghly who know we won’t overcharge them for a simple job. Sometimes the work gets backed up because a machine breaks down or a delivery is late, but we eventually get it sorted. It’s just how things go in a small shop like this one on the main road. We keep at it every day.
