If you go down Khatir Bazar Lane in Rishra Mahesh, you’ll find us right near the Jaganath Oil Mill. We are tucked away close to Railway Gate No.4, so you can always hear the trains passing by throughout the day. Jyoti Engineers is a small operation. We started this because we liked working with our hands. The building at 73/A/1 is old, but it serves us well. It gets quite loud when the machines are running and the trains are whistling, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We mostly handle local jobs for people in the neighborhood. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. Usually, you’ll find one of us covered in grease or leaning over a workbench. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. Sometimes the oil mill nearby makes the whole air smell a certain way. It’s a busy little corner of town. We keep our tools organized, mostly, though things get messy when a big project is mid-way through. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop around, just a reliable one where people can get things fixed. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the equipment, but we manage to get the work done. Living and working near the railway gate means we always know what time it is. It’s just how things go for us here in Rishra Mahesh every day.
