Annapurrna Engineering Works

You can find our workshop at Keota Sarat Park in the Sahaganj area of Hooghly. It’s an old part of town and we’ve been here for quite some time. The main thing you’ll notice when you walk in is the smell of oil and the sound of metal being worked on. We aren't a big factory with robots; it’s mostly just us using our hands and some old machines to get the engineering jobs done. The floor is usually a bit greasy and there are metal scraps in the corners, but that’s just how a real workshop looks. We work on whatever comes through the door, from small repairs to bigger parts for local machinery. People from around Hooghly know they can just drop by and talk to us about what they need fixed. We don’t have a fancy website or a sales team. We just do the work and hope it holds up. Some days it gets really dusty and the heat from the machines can be a lot, but we just take a break for tea and then get back to it. Our office is just a small corner with a desk covered in drawings and invoices. We don’t use much technology here besides the basics. It’s a simple life of making things and fixing things, and we’re happy with that. We just focus on the task at hand and try to get the jobs finished before the sun goes down.
