Digdarshak Farmer Producer Companylimited is based out of Village Sijwahi, at Raj Singh’s house, which is Makan No-21. We are situated in the Maudaha area, near the Biharaka Thana. It’s a quiet part of the country, and we like it that way. We started this company because we realized that as individual farmers, we weren't getting very far. Now we try to pool our resources and help each other out with everything from buying seeds to finding buyers for what we grow. It’s a very local operation. We don't have fancy computers or a big office staff. It’s mostly just us sitting on the porch at Raj’s place, going over the numbers and planning for the next planting season. The roads out here can be a bit rough, especially when the monsoon hits, but we manage to get things done. We are just simple people from the village who know how to work hard. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure our families are fed and the farm stays in good shape. It’s about being a guide for each other, which I guess is why we picked the name. We make mistakes sometimes, and things don't always go according to plan, but we just pick up and keep moving. Being a farmer in Uttar Pradesh means you have to be patient and keep your boots on the ground. We are just doing our best.
