Gothikmahoba Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Ajnar Jaitpur. We use a space at Prem Kumar’s place to keep our things organized. This area in Mahoba is where we all live and work. Farming here can be a real challenge sometimes because of the heat and the water situation is never easy. We decided that forming a company would help us stay organized when it comes to selling what we grow. We aren't some fancy outfit from the city with big dreams. We are just local farmers who know the ground around here. Our days are full of manual labor and figuring out how to get our produce to the market without losing too much money on the way. It’s a lot of talking under the shade of a tree or in the small room we call our office. We don't have a glossy website or a marketing person to talk to people. Most people hear about us through word of mouth in the local villages around Hamirpur. We are just trying to make the most of what we have. It’s not always pretty, and we definitely make mistakes now and then. But it’s our business and we run it ourselves. Being in Hamirpur and Mahoba, we understand the local conditions better than any outsider would. We just keep our heads down and focus on the crops and the next harvest.
