Our place is House Number 43 in Makranw, which is in the Maudaha area of Hamirpur. Arvind Kumar, whose father is Sukhdev, is the person you’d look for if you want to find the heart of the operation. We are a producer company, meaning we are basically a group of local people trying to get organized and work as one. It’s not some big operation with hundreds of employees or a glass building. We work from a regular house, which makes things feel a lot more personal and real. People just stop by when they have something to discuss or a problem they need help with. It’s mostly about helping out the local producers and making sure things are running okay for them. We aren't fancy and we don't use a lot of big words or business jargon. If something needs doing, we just get together and do it. Hamirpur can be quite hot in the summers, so we usually get started early in the morning before the sun gets too bad. Most of us have lived here our whole lives and know the dust of these roads. We know the land and we know the people. Being a producer company means we all have a stake in how things go at the end of the year. We try to be fair and just get the work done without much fuss. You won’t find any glossy brochures or sales pitches here. Just some honest work and people trying to make a living.
