Witty Engineering

You can find Witty Engineering right behind the Hanuman Temple over on Main Patodi Road in Gaurdali Khurd. It’s a quiet enough spot if you ignore the noise from the workshop. We’ve been set up here for a bit, and it’s a good location because people know the temple as a landmark. The workshop itself is where we spend all our time. We do a lot of fabrication and general engineering stuff. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a suit. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails and wear old clothes that can handle a bit of sparks or oil. We have a few old machines that still work better than the new ones, though we use both. People from the nearby villages and the town stop by when they need something welded or a frame built. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people through the gate. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, sitting on some stools and talking. We try to keep things simple. If someone needs a job done, we look at it, give them a price, and start working. It’s a practical way to live. The temple bells ring in the morning and evening, which is a nice backdrop to the sound of our grinders. We just keep our heads down and focus on the welding or the cutting until the job is done right.
