We’re up on the second floor of House No 832 in Sector 15-II. It’s a place called Charu Chandra Patni house. Gurgaon is a big city with lots of glass buildings, but we’re in a more normal neighborhood setting. International Design & Engineering Solutions Pvt Ltd is basically just a group of us working on drawings and engineering plans. It gets a bit cramped sometimes with all the computers and papers, but we make it work. Being on the second floor means we have a bit of a view of the street, which is nice when we need a break from the screens. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, if someone comes by, one of us just gets up from our desk to see who it is. We spend most of our time looking at blueprints and trying to solve design problems. It’s quiet work for the most part. The area is pretty residential, so it doesn’t feel like a corporate park. We like it that way. It’s easier to focus when you aren't surrounded by thousands of people. We’ve got our routine down. We start in the morning, drink a lot of tea, and try to get through the projects on our list. It’s a simple setup for a team that just wants to do the engineering work. We don't have much to say about ourselves, we just stay busy with the work at hand and try to stay organized in our small office space while the city moves outside.
